Festival & Events
Throughout the year Jersey plays host to a wide variety of events embracing everything from music to motoring, countryside to culture. Here's a taste of what's happening in 2010.
Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th September - BREWIN DOLPHIN 12th Jersey RegattaThe Brewin Dolphin Jersey Regatta is the showpiece event in the Island’s annual sailing calendar attracting competitors from throughout the Channel Islands, the UK and France. Inaugurated in 1999, this unique and exciting event is jointly organised by the Island’s three sailing clubs and opens with a Round-the-Island race on the Friday followed by racing in St Aubin’s Bay and off the south coast on Saturday and Sunday. The packed schedule provides three days of fun and competitive racing for sportsboat, cruiser/racer, quarter ton, dayboat, dinghy and sport-catamaran classes, the whole being supported by a lively shoreside programme based at St Helier YC and the Royal Channel Islands YC.
www.jerseyregatta.comSaturday 4th & Sunday 5th September - Jersey Live FestivalJersey Live, the coolest boutique music festival in Europe! Jersey Live is a unique music festival set in the Jersey countryside. The atmosphere of Jersey Live is second to none, with a beautifully natured crowd it has been branded as one of the best looking & most responsive crowds on the festival circuit! Artist's that have appeared since it's launch six years ago include Basement Jaxx, The Prodigy, Kasabian, Snow Patrol, The Kooks, Dizzee Rascal, The Fratellis, The Zutons, Razorlight, 2manydjs, Editors, We are Scientists, Pigeon Detectives, James Lavelle, Delays, The Subways, & Erol Alkan amongst others.
www.jerseylive.org.ukSaturday 4th & Sunday 5th September - The Ultim8 Around the Island Adventure RaceThis 8 discipline race hosts some of the country’s best athletes and is a combination of skills and fitness. The race starts and finishes from Greve de Lecq and takes in coasteering, cliff path running, kayaking, road cycling, rowing, abseiling, sea swimming and mountain biking.

www.jerseyairdisplay.org.ukSaturday 11th September - Heritage Open DayA wonderful opportunity to explore and enjoy sites owned or managed by Jersey Heritage and the National Trust for Jersey. These fascinating properties are either not usually open, or would normally charge an entrance fee.
Saturday 11th – Saturday 18th September - Autumn Walking WeekExperience the wonderful autumnal colours of Jersey and join in a full free programme of unique countryside, coastal and history walks with some of the Island’s most experienced guides. Highlight of the week includes the ‘Around Island Walk’.
Thursday 23rd – Sunday 26th September - Branchage Film FestivalA lively boutique film festival hosting an array of diverse and entertaining films, dazzling special events, talks, exhibitions, training and education. Gathering films by some of the worlds’ most talented directors and hunting out the freshest new talent. Branchage will be a banquet for all with comedy, live music, weirdly wonderful venues, parties and an entourage of filmmakers, visiting and home grown.
www.branchagefestival.comTuesday 29th September - Sunday 3rd October - Channel Islands Festival of Arts and CraftsOver 70 exhibitors, from the UK, Europe and the Channel Islands, will be showcasing their arts and handmade crafts all under one roof.
www.cifestivalofartsandcrafts.comFriday 1st October – Friday 12th November - ‘Tennerfest’For the 13th consecutive year, starting from the 1st October, the Channel Islands can look forward to 6 weeks of great meals at fixed prices. Across Guernsey and Jersey, the Tennerfest has over 170 restaurants taking part, meaning diners are once again guaranteed to find outstanding menus and meals created from the wealth of good food available in the islands. The Tennerfest continues to be a promotion that encourages local restaurants to create a special, all-inclusive menu that provides the diner with more at a fixed amount. Restaurateurs on both islands are offering menus starting at £10 with £12.50, £15.00 and now £17.50 options. This enables the restaurants to offer a wide and exciting selection of food during this promotion.
www.tennerfest.comSunday 3rd October - Standard Chartered Jersey MarathonThe marathon starts on the streets of St Helier and runs through some of the Island's most scenic spots, taking in country lanes, picturesque valleys and the beautiful coast of Jersey. In addition to the main marathon, there is a relay race and fun run. A run for everyone! This is the fifth year that the Jersey Marathon has been held. Not only is it a great race but also contributes to the economy of the Island and to charitable causes.
www.jersey-marathon.comSaturday 9th – Sunday 10th October - Autumn Fruit, Flower and Vegetable ShowThe Royal Jersey Horticultural Society invites you to experience the shades of autumn with floral displays of all kinds and fruit and vegetables arranged in the most creative of ways. There will also be a poultry and small animal display and the Island Autumn Cattle Show as well as afternoon tea with home made cakes.
Saturday 16th – Sunday 17th October - La Faîs'sie d’Cidre (Cider Festival)Celebrate the cider of today and yesterday with a variety of activities and tastings at Hamptonne.
www.jerseyheritage.orgThursday 21st – Saturday 23rd October - Black Butter MakingJoin the National Trust for Jersey as they make this delicious local delicacy from the Island's apple harvest. Peel the apples, stir the pot and learn about the history and tradition of Black Butter making in Jersey and how it can be used with different foods today.

Meander through the streets of St. Helier, under a canopy of brilliant white lights and experience late night shopping and street entertainment. Partake in guided walks covering the Islands history and natural environment, enjoy traditional markets, street theatre, Christmas parades, carol concerts and much more….
